Travel Tip for On-Campus Visitors: As of Summer 2004, there are no regularly scheduled commercial airline connections in or out of the Purdue University Airport which serves the greater Lafayette area. Travelers are advised to fly into the Indianapolis International Airport, or into one of the two Chicago airports, and use ground transportation to come to Purdue.

Directions to the Rosen Center for Advanced Computing (RCAC)

The RCAC main offices are located within the Information Technologies at Purdue (ITaP) facilities in Young Hall on the Purdue University - West Lafayette campus.
The main reception area is on the fourth floor. To come to the RCAC and to Young Hall, the directions are as follows:

  • From Indianapolis, take I-65 North for approximately 60 miles.
  • Exit in Lafayette at State Road 26, and head west.
  • Continue on SR 26 West through Lafayette. The road will be called Columbia St.
  • Continue on Columbia St. across the Wabash River bridge.
  • After crossing the Wabash River, the road will be called State St. and the visitor will be entering West Lafayette.
  • Continue up the State St. hill.
  • Where State St. intersects with Grant St., turn right.
  • Visitor's parking garage is located on the right on Grant St., directly across from the Purdue Memorial Union and the Union Club.
  • From the Grant St. Parking Garage, walk back toward State St.
  • Across State St., and directly behind the Krannert Building is

From Chicago, head southeast toward Indianapolis on I-65 for approximately 120 miles.
Exit in Lafayette at State Road 26 and head west. Continue to Purdue University following the directions above.

Ground Transportation

Rental cars are available at the Indianapolis and Chicago airports. In addition, from Indianapolis International Airport, regularly scheduled commercial ground transportation is available through:
