Resolved: Emergency DXUL/fortress maintenance Tuesday, August 26
August 26, 2008Emergency hardware maintenance has been scheduled for the tape robot used by the DXUL/fortress archival storage system from 10:30am-12:30pm on Tuesday, August 26. This maintenance is in follow-up to the work done on Monday, August 25. During this time, it will not be possible to retrieve files from the tape archive nor will it be possible for the DXUL system to migrate files from its disk cache into the tape library. RCAC storage engineers will monitor the disk cache and disable all DXUL access if the cache fills during this maintenance window. DXUL users are encouraged to keep their use of the system to a minimum during this period.
Update as of 1pm Tuesday, August 26: Maintenance on the tape robot used by the DXUL/fortress system has been completed and the system has been returned to service.
