  • Announcements

Ten Purdue Research Opportunities Program (PROP) Scholars arrived on Sunday, July 13, for a three-week residential intensive Summer Institute, jointly sponsored by the Intel Foundation and ITaP. The undergraduates come from Purdue, Martin University at Indianapolis, Alabama A&M at Huntsville, Dillard University at New Orleans, University of Texas PanAmerican at Edinburg, and Harold Washington College at Chicago.

The purpose of the program is to facilitate transition to graduate school for students from groups who traditionally are under-represented in IT-related disciplines, the sciences and engineering. Orientation and tours were held on Sunday. Volunteer faculty represent the Schools of Engineering, Science, Agriculture, and Liberal Arts; the NASA RISE Program, and ITaP.
