SGI Altix system maintenance Tuesday, September 2
September 03, 2008The four RCAC SGI Altix systems (julius, caesar, octavius, and brutus.rcac.purdue.edu) will be unavailable from 8am-5pm Tuesday, 9/2, while operating system upgrades are installed.
Update as of 5pm Tuesday, September 2: RCAC systems engineers have encountered problems updating the Altix systems and are waiting for a response from SGI technical support. The Altix systems will remain unavailable until SGI can address the problems we have encountered with the system updates.
Update as of 3pm Wednesday, September 3: RCAC system engineers have returned the SGI Altix systems to service and PBS job scheduling on the Altix 4700, caesar.rcac.purdue.edu, has been re-enabled.
