Caesar PBS Scheduling & Scratch Down, Oct. 21-22
October 22, 2008PBS scheduling on Caesar was been stopped in the evening of October 21, and the scratch filesystem /scratch/caesar/ is unavailable. Engineers are working on the problem with the vendor, but do not yet have an estimate of when PBS will return to service.
PBS job scheduling on the Caesar SGI Altix 4700 was restarted at approaimately 4:00P.M. Wednesday,October 23. However, its /scratch/caesar file system has been removed from service due to hardware problems. In addition, the system's /tmp file system has been reduced in size to 10GB. Please use your RCAC scratch directory as named in your $RCAC_SCRATCH environment variable instead.
