Director of Integrated Cyberinfrastructure

Kyle joined the Rosen Center for Advanced Computing (RCAC) as interim Director of Integrated Cyberinfrastructure in August 2023, joining fulltime in December 2023. He began his Purdue career in the College of Agriculture (CoA) as a support desk technician in 2007, then moved into a system administrator role less than a year later.

In 2012 Kyle moved into Botany and Plant Pathology, still within the CoA, as an Academic IT Specialist, assisting with departmental IT and research computing needs. He would eventually become the first CoA Academic IT Specialist serving in two academic departments, the other being Agricultural Economics. In 2018, Kyle was elected to serve as Lead Academic IT Specialist by his peers, serving as Lead until he left to become the Director of IT for Purdue University Libraries in 2021.

Kyle enjoys making connections, building relationships, problem solving, and helping people.

Other activities and fun facts

  • Served on the Warren County Local Economic Development board, first as a member beginning in 2012 and Vice President from 2015 to 2019.
     
  • When he isn’t spending time with his wife, daughter, family, and friends, he enjoys gaming, reading, and traveling.
