Esri ArcGIS Community Analyst Online

Purdue students, faculty and staff can access Community Analyst Online (CAO).

To be able to use CAO, you must first have an account on Purdue's ArcGIS Online Organization. (Think of this as a named license server.)

  • To create your ArcGIS Online account if you do not already have one, go to: https://purdueuniversity.maps.arcgis.com.
  • Sign in using your Purdue Career account; use the 'USING YOUR PURDUE UNIVERSITY ACCOUNT' button on the login page.
  • Your online account will be set up automatically the first time you log in; there will be no forms to complete. Your ArcGIS Online account name will be based on your Purdue career account name; it will be something like ... xxxx@purdue.edu_purdueuniversity.

After creating your ArcGIS Online account, you should automatically have access to CAO. (If access is refused, send an email to itap@purdue.edu requesting that your account be configured to use CAO.)

Follow the instructions below for accessing CAO.

  • Log in for Business Analyst Online: (https://communityanalyst.arcgis.com/)
  • Be sure to select the 'Enterprise Account' button near the bottom of the CAO Log In page to enter your Purdue Career account.
  • On the next page, enter 'purdueuniversity' in the space provide so that the complete url is: purdueuniversity.maps.arcgis.com and then select continue.
  • Then select the 'Using Your Purdue University Account' button.
