Emergency Desktop.Rice Thinlinc Maintenance

March 14, 2018  4:00pm – 5:00pm

The Thinlinc system serving the Rice cluster, desktop.rice.rcac.purdue.edu, has a critical misconfiguration which requires it be restarted as soon as possible. Engineers are going to proceed with this restart of Thinlinc services at 4:00pm today.

Unfortunately, this will result in the loss of any current Thinlinc sessions on desktop.rice. However, the service will return to normal operations immediately following the restart.
