The Halstead cluster will be taken down on Monday, May 14th, 2018 at 8:00am EDT for a planned upgrade to CentOS7. This process is expected to take two days, and Halstead will not return to service until 5:00pm on %enddate%.

This upgrade may affect applications you have built yourself and will also include changes to existing applications. More information about this upgrade, including how to test your work in advance through a testing queue, is available in the announcement article "Halstead Upgrade to CentOS7".

During this time, Halstead will also have the default scratch path change to the new scratch filesystem, as explained in the New Halstead Scratch Storage announcement.

Any jobs which would not complete before Monday, May 14th, 2018 at 8:00am EDT will be held in the queue until after the maintenance.
