Bell Cluster Downtime

The Bell cluster will be unavailable on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 between 8:00am and 12:00pm EDT for an out of band maintenance to improve scratch storage performance that has impacted some users recently. This work is scheduled to be done as soon as possible since the performance of Bell's filesystem is imperative for the users' jobs.
How does this impact you?
- Any new jobs that request a walltime past the start of this maintenance will not begin until after the maintenance has concluded.
- Any currently running jobs whose walltime would take them past the start of the maintenance will be paused while work is completed and resumed thereafter. We expect that this will not impact jobs beyond a temporary pause, however please ensure the output of your jobs which were paused is as you expect and resubmit if necessary.
