  • STEW 279
  • Events

The Fundamentals of Research Storage workshop is a 1-day training event that covers the full spectrum of research storage systems available to RCAC users.

It starts with basic concepts and the various advantages and disadvantages of different storage technologies. We discuss each storage system and where it fits within the context of research use-cases.

Finally, we cover the Globus transfer service and how to use it both online and from batch job scripts.

Participants should have at least an introductory-level knowledge of RCAC’s computing systems; the Fundamentals of HPC workshop is recommended as a prerequisite.
