Can you introduce yourself and share a little about who you are? Hello! My name is Nikitha Sivasankaravel, and I’m the Student Writer/Communications Liaison for the RCAC. I’m a Junior (but graduating a year early, so graduating this semester!) who’s majoring in Psychology and minoring in Organizational Leadership. I’m also involved in student organizations such as the Purdue South Indian Association and Purdue We Are SAATH. Additionally, I work as a Marketing Intern for the OUR and as a Social Media Intern for CAPS.

What are some of your main interests or passions? Some of my hobbies include reading, baking, listening to music, watching movies and spending time with my friends! I’m also very passionate about mental health and cultural initiatives.

Can you tell us about your role at RCAC? What does your job entail? At the RCAC, I’m currently the Student Writer! As a student writer, my job usually entails helping write science highlights and various articles. Often, I’m reaching out and interviewing various professors and students about their work in HPC/related fields.

What do you enjoy most about working at RCAC? I love being able to meet and connect with different professors and students as well as learning more about the work they do! As a psychology major, I didn’t have much exposure to the world of HPC before this role, so through my job, I’ve been able to learn so much. Additionally, everyone at the RCAC is so kind and it’s been such a pleasure to work with them.
