Gautschi Cluster Scheduled Maintenance

As of 9:35am EDT, engineers have completed maintenance and have returned the Gautschi cluster back to normal service. All queues have been enabled and jobs have resumed scheduling. Please report any issues to rcac-help@purdue.edu

As of 8:45am, work continues on bringing Gautschi back to normal operation. We will provide another update by 10:00am.

As of 11:45pm, work continues on bringing Gautschi back to normal operation. We are currently working with the vendor to verify that the scratch filesystem is ready to return to service. We will provide another update by 9:00am.

As of 7:45pm, work continues on bringing Gautschi back to normal operation. We are currently verifying that the scratch filesystem and applications are operating as expected. We will provide another update by 12:00am.

As of 4:45pm, work continues on bringing Gautschi back to normal operation. Operating system patching has been completed, and we are currently verifying that the fabric is operating as expected. We will provide another update by 8:00pm.

The Gautschi cluster will be unavailable Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 8:00am - 5:00pm EDT for scheduled maintenance. The cluster will return to full production by Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 5:00pm EDT.
During this time, Gautschi will have its operating system patched and a maintenance upgrade performed on the storage filesystems.
Any Slurm jobs requesting a walltime which would take them past Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 8:00pm EDT will not start and will remain in the queue until after the maintenance is completed.
