Fortress Samba unavailable
Fortress Samba service has been restored as of 10:15am on Monday, June 8th. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and thanks for your patience.
Beginning Friday afternoon, the Fortress Samba mounts became unavailable due to an issue with the Samba service. This service allows users to map network drives on personal laptops or desktops. Anyone trying to access Fortress in this way over samba.rcac.purdue.edu or fortress-smb.rcac.purdue.edu cannot access Fortress. HSI and HTAR access from ITaP research computing clusters or from personal machines is unaffected.
We anticipate this issue be resolved later this morning. We will post an update by noon today, Monday, June 8th.
