An interactive HPC web portal, dubbed Gateway, has been deployed on the Community Clusters. Gateway is an open-source HPC portal, called Open OnDemand, developed by the Ohio Supercomputing Center. Open OnDemand allows one to interact with HPC resources through a web browser and easily manage files, submit jobs, and interact with graphical applications directly in a browser, all with no software to install.

To log into Gateway:

Navigate to the appropriate URL for your cluster:

Log in using your Career account username and BoilerKey.

Gateway features a web-based file browser, editor, job creator, job monitor, several interactive graphical applications, RStudio Server, and Jupyter Notebooks (with GPU support).

The cluster user guides contains more information on how to use Gateway:

At the moment, the interactive apps point to jobs submitted to the queue and are subject to normal queuing times. We are exploring some options to allow the interactive apps to point to the front-end nodes for must faster access, like you get with notebook and rstudio.scholar.

Gateway is a new and still evolving offering, so please send any comments, issues, or any features that would make this offering more useful to your research to Any feedback is greatly appreciated and will help improve this offering for all.
