How will data revolution change institutional data management processes

Details The data revolution and its impact on domains such as AI and health sciences have posed new challenges to researchers and staff in different roles. From the researchers’ perspective, it is often unclear who are all the parties involved in the process of accessing a particular data, what de-identification procedure should be considered, what storage is appropriate to use, what datasets are available institutionally, or how to make research data products findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable. At the same time, it has never been more important for an organization to be agile in responding to new policies such as NIH and OSTP data sharing and management policies, emerging needs such as those in AI, and changes in commercial enterprise solutions that will continue to challenge the status quo.

This webinar shares institutional response to such challenges through the lens of three peer institutions, Northwestern, North Carolina State, and Arizona State universities who have recently made significant progress in these domains.

Speakers (4) Susan Ivey Director, Research Facilitation Service North Carolina State University

Moira Downey Research Facilitator North Carolina State University
