Eric Adams

Lead Research Operations Administrator, Education
Eric Adams is an experienced research operations professional with over two decades of expertise in IT operations, program management, and workforce development. In his role as Lead Research Operations Administrator at Purdue University, Eric focuses on supporting high-performance computing (HPC) education, user engagement, and strategic coordination of national research infrastructure, including ACCESS.
Eric is deeply engaged in the national research computing community through his leadership in the Practice and Experience in Advanced Research Computing (PEARC) series. He currently serves as Chair of the PEARC '25 Committee for Accessibility and Belonging, following previous roles as Technical Program Co-Chair for PEARC '24 and Proceedings Co-Chair for PEARC '21. He has also delivered invited talks on research facilitation, education, and workforce development.
At Purdue, Eric is the 2025 Chair of the Management and Professional Staff Advisory Committee (MaPSAC), where he leads efforts to represent professional staff interests, influence university policy, and strengthen workplace culture. His longstanding service on MaPSAC reflects his deep commitment to employee advocacy and engagement.
Previously, Eric held roles as Application Support Manager and Program Manager, where he led enterprise projects and process improvement initiatives.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication from Purdue University and certifications in ITIL v4 and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. His published work and ongoing contributions to national research computing reflect his commitment to fostering innovation and inclusion in higher education. He also serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Clinton County Civic Theatre.
