Hathi Retirement
The Hathi Hadoop cluster is being retired on Friday, August 31st, 2018. This was Purdue's first generally available Hadoop cluster, and it sparked further interest in other Hadoop systems. Dedicated Hadoop resources are available for research groups which make use of Hadoop in their research, and Hadoop services have been incorporated directly into the newly-expanded Scholar for instructional use of Hadoop in classrooms. We are also exploring the use of Magpie for Hadoop-in-a-job on our other research clusters.
