Unscheduled Workbench outage

As of 2:45pm EDT, the Workbench and WSC cluster has been returned to normal service. Data Center personnel have identified the source of the power event and have stabilized power to Workbench and WSC. Any login sessions or work running during this time will need to be restarted.

We apologize for the disruption of service. Please report any issues to rcac-help@purdue.edu.

Engineers have identified a rack in the data center that has had a power event, where Workbench and WSC Hadoop physically reside. Most Workbench front-ends are back online, however, engineers are working with Data Center personnel to ensure power is stable before bringing the systems back into full production. We will provide another update by 3:30 pm.

The Data Workbench and WSC Hadoop cluster began experiencing issues with connectivity around 2:00pm EDT. Engineers are currently diagnosing the issue and are working to identify a fix.
