Bell, Halstead, Hammer and CMS Clusters Maintenance

Link to update at November 3, 2020 7:05pm EST UPDATE:

As of 7:05pm EST, electric power work and maintenance on the Bell, Halstead, Hammer and CMS clusters have been completed.

Bell cluster is returned to its early-user testing operations. Job queues have been enabled and job scheduling has been resumed. Please note that Bell scratch file system is now fully operational.

Halstead, Hammer and CMS clusters are cleared for returning to service, but remain unavailable pending the all-floor downtime due to work on the shared /home and /apps file systems.

We appreciate your patience. Please report any issues to rcac-help@purdue.edu.

The Bell, Halstead, Hammer and CMS clusters will be unavailable Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 8:00am EST for scheduled maintenance. The clusters will return to full production by %enddatetime%.

During this time, the clusters will have their operating system patched. Additionally, electric work will be performed in the datacenter power feed in preparation for the future NSF-funded Anvil cluster deployment.

Any SLURM jobs which request a walltime which would take them past Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 at 8:00am EST will not start and will remain in the queue until after the maintenance is completed.
