Unscheduled Math Data Center Cooling Outage

As of 2:50pm, the Math Data Center cooling issues have been successfully mitigated. The Anvil, Bell, Gilbreth and Halstead clusters have been returned to normal service accordingly. Job queues have been enabled and job scheduling has been resumed. We apologize for the disruption of service. Please report any issues to rcac-help@purdue.edu.

The Math building data center began experience issues with its cooling system around 11:40am EDT. As one of manifestations, users may experience issues while logging in to the Anvil, Bell, Gilbreth, and Halstead clusters. To minimize thermal load on the cooling infrastructure, job scheduling has been paused while data center engineers and physical facilities crew are diagnosing the issue and are working to identify a fix.

We will provide an update by 6pm.
