Fortress: ADIC Scalar 10k tape robot unavailable

The ADIC Scalar 10K robot is temporarily down again with a different error. Engineers are investigating and currently estimate that it will be unavailable until 12:00 noon. We will update you on the tape robot's status at noon.
Original message:
The ADIC Scalar 10K Robot serving the Fortress archive is currently offline with a hardware failure. Support has been called, but earliest availability for repair is estimated at Friday, December 2 at noon. Fortress is still able to write files into HPSS, and files already on the cache will still be accessible, but access to files requiring to be read from tape will not be possible.
Update: As of 5:00pm, Thursday, Dec 1, the ADIC tape robot has been repaired and returned to service.
