[RCAC Workshop] Fundamentals of R
Includes: Introduction to R, R Basics, Data Structures, Control Structures and Functions, Data Import and Export, Data Manipulation with dplyr, Data Visualization with ggplot2, Statistical Analysis, Advanced Topics in R.
Description: This in-person workshop is designed to guide participants from basic knowledge to advanced skills in using the R programming language for statistical computing and graphics. The day begins with an introduction to R, covering its importance in data science and its capabilities.
Participants will start with basic operations from their personal laptops, progressing to more complex data structures, control functions, and ultimately, data visualization and statistical analysis.
The workshop concludes with a dive into advanced topics, such as efficient coding practices, parallel processing, and the creation of R packages. This comprehensive approach ensures a robust understanding of R, making it ideal for researchers, data analysts, and anyone interested in data science.
No prior experience with R is necessary, but participants should bring a personal laptop to engage in hands-on examples.
