Purdue will host a workshop in data analytics and machine learning with MATLAB April 13 open to faculty, staff, graduate students and undergraduates interested in using MATLAB for research and class projects.

The instructional seminar will take place from 10 a.m. to noon in the Lawson Computer Science Building, Room 1142. There is no fee if you register through this Purdue site.

The session will demonstrate methods for optimally importing, manipulating, visualizing and mining data in MATLAB. It also will explore machine learning approaches for discovering useful patterns in and making predictions from data sets.

The session is sponsored by MathWorks, maker of MATLAB, and ITaP Research Computing.
