Emergency maintenance for GitHub
Patching has been completed and github.rcac.purdue.edu service is back in full production mode.

Tonight, Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 9:00pm – 10:00pm EST github.rcac.purdue.edu will be taken down for brief emergency maintenance. GitHub announced a critical security vulnerability this week. As a result, our GitHub instance needs to be taken down for a few minutes of patching.
Operations requiring connection to the central server (e.g. new check-outs or pull requests, etc) may time out during the maintenance period. Operations with your own local repository will not be affected.
