Data Depot degraded performance on RCAC clusters

Through the efforts of RCAC storage engineers and vendor support, Data Depot performance has returned to normal levels.

Users of Data Depot on RCAC clusters are currently experiencing significant performance degradation. The symptoms manifest as delays in listing or accessing files in /depot, significant lags in terminal sessions (especially if you have Data Depot in you $PATH), slowness in launching applications or Anaconda environments installed in your group's Depot space, etc.
Globus transfers to/from Data Depot may experience slowdowns as well. The SMB/Windows network drive functionality is not affected.
We appreciate the incident reports we received. RCAC engineers are working with the vendor on diagnosing and troubleshooting the issue.
